Forest Green Rovers has a new community partner in ADEY, a manufacturer which makes products to protect household central heating systems, reducing carbon emissions and saving money on energy bills.
As such, ADEY is passionate about supporting communities and having a positive impact on the environment and people’s lives. It has pledged its support for FGR Community, which aims to motivate, inspire and educate through football in Gloucestershire and beyond.
The new partnership with ADEY will help FGR Community to continue to work with schools, community groups and vulnerable people to not only help raise awareness of the impact of climate change, but other social issues too such as mental health and loneliness.
ADEY will be working closely with the FGR Community team to help deliver and support some of their initiatives; whether that’s through volunteering or helping spread the message about how we can all do something to reduce carbon emissions.
Matthew Webber, ADEY’s CEO, said: “This is a hugely exciting partnership for us and the whole team is looking forward to working with the Club and getting involved as much as possible.
“There is a lot of synergy with ADEY and the work FGR Community is doing. Not only around sustainability and carbon reduction, but acknowledging the impact organisations can, and should, now be having on their communities and the people that live there.”
Sarah Urquhart, Head of Community at FGR, said: “We are delighted that Adey wish to partner with FGR Community. Their investment and support will make a significant difference in allowing us to extend our reach and sustain our programmes.
“In doing so we will be able to knock more doors, spend time talking and supporting local families, visit older residents and extend matchday invitations. We are really looking forward to working together”.
